Ummeed conducted a heart warming session with care givers and support staff of Birla Bharati School, Kolkata on School Safety Issues based on (NCPCR) National Commission for the Protection of Child's Rights on 18th January,2018. The session was conducted by Ms. Salony Priya Founder Director of Ummeed and team.

Ummeed conducted workshop on "Child Rights, Abuse and POSCO Law" for the educators of Frank Anthony Public School, Kolkata on 15th January,2018. The objectives of the workshop was to make participants aware of all "Child Rights and POSCO law".
The session was conducted by Ms. Salony Priya, Founder Director of Ummeed Counselling and Consulting Services.

Ummeed has conducted a workshop  on 6th January,2018 at Ratnakar North Point School, educators started the year with a pledge to Care and connect, with the millennium children and adolescent, by adopting changed perspective and various proactive methods. The psycho education workshop allowed teachers to develop "EQ & IQ". Every day classroom situations explained with deeper insight and discussion on case studies made teachers identify with issues as well as enjoy.

Contai Public School undertook the unique whole staff sensitization programme with Ummeed on 3rd and 4th January,2018. Every administrative staff, support staff and caregivers came together to understand basic needs of children, canopy of child rights and importance of child safety. All educators also understood how to educate children on safety issues and teach them about  physical and emotional safety.

1. "The three main areas of learning from today's session are child rights and child safety, POSCO Act and its activity and social and emotional wellness. One area of learning from today's session that I would like to incorporate in classroom is to make the children of their safety in society and school as well as also make the parents aware. For future workshop, I want UMMEED to focus on topics like school and classroom safety and management. I am very happy to attend this session and a special thanks to Salony Ma'am. 3. "Life skills, rights of child, boundaries and ideas about good touch and bad touch are the three key areas of today's session. I would like to tell my students to define their boundaries and teach them about good touch and bad touch. I would teach them to share their problems with someone they trust. Also, I would teach them the difference between privacy and secrecy. I would like UMMEED to conduct a workshop in future about dealing with students of higher classes, especially those who regularly skip classes. Students of Class XII Humanities stream from Birla Bharati School were hosted at Ummeed as part of their educational visit. Their interaction with Ummeed counselors gave them a glimpse into application of positive psychology in the real world as a strength based approach to help individuals with social and emotional well being. They gained exposure from case studies that address adolescent issues, play therapy and the use of projective techniques as means to provide direction in individual counseling. Team Ummeed wishes this vibrant bunch of young learners all the very best in their future endeavours.

1. "It was a very enlightening experience for us as psychology students to know so much more about counseling. We were at first given an introduction about counseling and we discussed about counseling and we discussed about the myths related to it. Then we dealt with a case study about an adolescent who faces from parental pressure for higher academic performance, after that we discussed about the interventions and solutions as counselors. We also saw a presentation on the play therapy and we actually saw or observed a child for minute or so. Our friend also acted as a subject so that we could get a better understanding about the therapy. It was a really wonderful experience for me personally as I would like to pursue psychology further. The play room where two of my friends portrait as the player we observed them and then conclusions were drawn. Ummeed conducted Basic Counseling Skills session on "Aim of Counseling, Addiction and Abuse" for the Educators of Delhi Public School, Varanasi on 16th and 17th December,2017. The session was conducted by Ms. Salony Priya Founder Director of Ummeed Counseling & Consulting Services.

Ummeed conducted positive psychology intervention with Class XI students on social and emotional skill and addiction at Delhi Public School, Varanasi  on 15th December,2017. The session was conducted by Ms. Salony Priya Founder Director of Ummeed Counseling & Consulting Services.
