On 24th July '17, more than 500 Parents of Kerala Samajam School, Jamshedpur attended a Lively open interaction with purpose and clear practical guidelines for bringing up Teens. The resource person for this workshop was Ms. Salony Priya, Founder Director, UMMEED.

UMMEED Counsellors organized group as well as one to one counselling interventions and sessions with the students at Sacred Heart School, Siliguri from the 14th July till the 16th July on various topics such as Bullying, Smart Study Skills, Assertive Communication Training, Anger Management

Ummeed conducted lifeskills session on 6th July, 2017 at Frank Anthony Public school Kolkata, our oldest partner school, for students of class 10. The session enabled students to reflect on many relevant adolescent issues such as peer relationships, parental expectations, gadget addiction, substance abuse and empowered them to understand how these are related to basic human needs. The interactive session provided a platform to the students to learn from each others experiences and also share pertinent incidents that they face difficulties dealing with. "A pioneer pilot project of Bhowanipur College in Calcutta, at time of College admissions taking up skill mapping and mental health awareness for students. BGES Society invited Ummeed Counselling services headed by Mrs Salony Priya  for creating a strength based analysis of the new students joining first year under various graduation programmes. Students are undergoing individual counselling sessions to understand their own psychological competencies which would enable the college to provide best of value add on activities beyond academic, build skills, provide counselling and allow several trainings that are need based.

A very comprehensive and unique student centric activity led by Spriha Patronobis, Head counselling projects  for 20 days.

• Transforming the teacher to a counselor, to know the adolescent psychology and dealing with the adolescent child were the topics discussed in the workshop today.
