Ummeed conducted a session on paradigm shift in education challenges and changing roles of educators to lead steer and guide the youth in our care - was the theme of interactive session by Salony Priya, Director of Ummeed at Army Public School, Barrackpore on 23rd June,2017

Ummeed, on 18th June at Vikash, Residential School, Bhubaneshwar conducted workshop for Teachers to empower them on developing positive classroom community by Ms. Salony Priya, Founder Director Ummeed.

• Three areas of key learning from today’s workshop were  creating possibility, making space.  I feel education needs to connect more and collaborate. To reduce fear in your classroom/ understanding the emotional issues. Behaviour of both students and teachers should be good towards each other. • Today’s session has taught me the A to Z of a good teacher. There may also be some behavioural problems of school children (11 to 18 years) which need to be focused upon. Ummeed conducted Teachers' session at Vikash, Residential School at Bargarh on 17th June by Ms. Salony Priya on Social and Emotional wellness of Adolescence to sensitize the teachers with issues, needs, changes of adolescents.

Play Therapy as an assessment tool in Counselling  Workshop was held at UMMEED from 7th-17th June' 17. The resource person for the workshop is Mrs. Jolly Laha, Psychotherapist.

Ummeed conducted a Basic Counselling Skills Session At Sacred Heart School, Siliguri on 19th and 20th of May'17. It was an interactive session where teachers and wardens were Introduced to counselling.

Ummeed conducted leadership training for Prefects of class X and Beadles of class XII on 19th May, 2017 at Sacred Heart School, Siliguri by Ms. Salony Priya, Director of Ummeed.

• Role of a Prefect in a school
  Prefects should be a friend, guide and counsellors of other fellow students.
